About Me

Michelle Antoinette Greco is a 21 year-old composer, vocalist, and music educator. Growing up in her mother's home vocal studio, music has been a central point of her life from the very beginning. Starting off as just a vocalist and a piano player, Michelle started songwriting when she was just seven years old. From there, her love for creating music blossomed and became part of her identity. She wrote pop songs for her band in high school and started to write classical compositions once in college at Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of the Arts.

Throughout her college career, she has had multiple performances of her compositions at various Rutgers events. Some people she has collaborated with include her mom, Mason Gross dancers, poet Laiza Goncalves, and Australian soprano, Yasmin Arkinstall. In 2021, she had the privilege of having a solo clarinet piece performed by Dr. Sarah Manasreh of University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. In April of 2022, Michelle had her senior composition recital which consisted of half vocal and half instrumental music.

Outside of composing, Michelle has been teaching piano lessons out of her home for the past three years to students of all ages. Her teaching approach synthesizes music theory, proper technique, and music comprehension. She makes lessons a challenging, yet rewarding and enjoyable experience.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in music composition, and a psychology double-major, from Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of the Arts. She has studied with Dr. Amanda Harberg and Dr. Melissa Dunphy.
